Oat and Cinnamon Smoothie: Easy Recipe


With only two star ingredients, oat and cinnamon smoothie (or juice) provides about 25% of the recommended daily fiber intake for a 2,000-calorie-a-day diet. Due to this, it may help reduce bad cholesterol levels. And best of all, it’s delicious.

  • 2 tablespoons of soaked (optional) oats.
  • 1 cinnamon stick.
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of water.

Recipe: Oat and cinnamon smoothie

The recipe is very simple.

  1. First, soak the oats in water for about 8 to 10 hours. This is optional, but it’ll make the drink easier to digest. Especially, for those who find it difficult to digest it raw.
  2. Then, when the oats are soft, we’ve to strain them, rinse them, put them in the blender along with the other ingredients (cinnamon and water) and process everything for a few seconds.

To consider: When soaking the oats, you can add a few drops of lemon or vinegar (medium acid) into the water for a better effect.
