Orange, Pineapple, Papaya, Ginger and Chia / Flax Smoothie


Orange, pineapple, papaya, ginger and chia / flax seeds smoothie (or juice) covers the recommended daily intake of vitamin C. Also, it contains a lot of fiber and other nutrients that may improve cholesterol levels.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to its preparation.


  • A blender.

  • 1 orange, peeled and without seeds.
  • 1 cup of papaya without seeds and peel.
  • 2 slices of peeled pineapple.
  • 1 piece of peeled ginger about the size of a fingertip.
  • 1 tablespoon of soaked (optional) chia or flax seeds.
  • 250 ml (one cup) of water.

  1. First, soak the chia or flax seeds for 2 to 8 hours (or overnight). This’s optional, but makes the juice easier to digest.

  3. Regarding the rest of the food, peel and remove the seeds of the papaya and orange. Also, cut the pineapple and the little piece of ginger.
